Drugs and Alcohol Awareness Course

Drugs & Alcohol misuse remains a challenge for many parents, young people and communities in the West of Ireland. In order to address some of these challenges, Knock Counselling Service is running Drugs & Alcohol Awareness programmes for adults and young people interested in these issues.
The first programme will be for adults who are interested in or affected by these issues. The course will provide participants with up to date information on drugs, their influence and effects. The training will explore the impact of substance use on relationships in general and will focus on developing communication skills between adults and young people.
The course will take place over four Tuesday evenings starting on 09/02/2010 and will be facilitated by, ex Drugs Task Force Co-ordinator and Psychotherapist, Peter Devers. Places are strictly limited therefore booking is essential.
